Noisy offering today will go to “God’s Work, Our Hands” service project/meal/music/fellowship for Grand Forks area ELCA churches at the Grand Forks Town on October 9.
Northwood will be collecting items for the Northwood Food Pantry the months of October and November. Items needed: toilet paper, laundry detergent, dish soap, pasta sauce, chili, bush beans, hamburger helper, Rice A Roni, juices, soap, cookies, peanut butter, spam, cold cereal, any and all canned goods (no pasta noodles or Ramen). Keep in mind most of the clients need only small, single serving cans, not large family size.

“God’s Work, Our Hands”
This Wednesday, October 9, we will be partnering with area ELCA churches for a service project, meal, music and fellowship at the Grand Forks Town Square.
5:30—6:30 pm meal and service project
6:30—7:30 music and fellowship.
The service project is putting together Lutheran World Relief school kits. We will also be collecting food & personal care items for St. Joseph’s food pantry. Items needed are: pasta, peanut butter, canned meat, cereal, instant potatoes, canned fruits & vegetables, feminine care products, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, razors & shaving cream.
There will be NO Confirmation or Youth the next 3 Wednesdays (Oct. 9, 16, or 23).
Help is needed to trim the shrubs around NELC at 10 am Monday and Tuesday, October 14 & 15. Bring your hedge trimmers, saws, clippers and tarps. All trimmings will be picked up by Northwood School kids (Gr. 7-12) on Wednesday, Oct. 16 as part of a school/wide service project. Call Jane Engen at 218-791-5155, if you have questions.
A portion of our offering that goes to the EaND Synod helped support 25 Young Adults in Global Mission (YAGM) who served in 5 countries in the 2023-2024 program year.
Sundahl Lutheran WELCA invites all women to a Fall Gathering, Meal and Music. Wednesday, October 16, Salad meal at 6 pm and 7 pm, Music by Morning Star Parish Worship Team from Tolna.
Youth Chili Feed Our Youth will be hosting a chili feed at NELC on Wednesday, October 23, 6-7:30 pm. We are hoping to have a chili cook-off. If you make a mean chili, consider bringing it to the chili feed. The Youth will be making a mild chili with all the fixings. Free will offering will go towards the parish youth fund. They could use a few desserts and corn bread, if anyone is willing to bring one, it would be appreciated.
