Youth Chili Feed Our Youth are hosting a chili feed at NELC on Wednesday, October 23, 6-7:30 pm. We are hoping to have a chili cook-off. If you make a mean chili, consider bringing it to the chili feed. The Youth will be making a mild chili with all the fixings. Free will offering will go towards the parish youth fund. They could use some desserts or bars or corn bread, call the church office if you would like to bring any of these items, it would be greatly appreciated.
NELC will celebrating Affirmation of Baptism with 7 young ladies on Sunday, October 27 at the 11 am worship service. They are: Layla Castillo, Peyton Bumgardner, Zoey Jacobson, Shelby Mutchler, Lexis Olson, Talia Sheggerud, and Dorothy Turner. There will be a potluck dinner following worship, please join these families in the celebration (cake will be provided).
November’s noisy offering will go to the ELCA’s Lutheran Disaster Response for Hurricanes Helene and Milton. If you would like to give more, you can either make a note on your offering envelope or label an envelope with your wishes and put it in the offering plate.
NELC needs 6 people for the call committee. If you are interested in being on the committee, contact Mark Engen.
EaND Synod Fall Gathering is at Augustana Lutheran Church in Grand Forks, Sunday, November 3, 1-3 pm. If you are in going let the church office know. Join us for a time of connection, learning, prayer, and fellowship with others in our conference.
A portion of our offering that goes to the EaND Synod helps support the administrative costs for ELCA World Hunger, meaning all gifts to world hunger go directly to support ministries and programs.
