NELC Council Meeting following worship today.

Vicar Steve’s ordination is at 2 pm this Saturday (March 15) at Sharon Lutheran Church in Grand Forks. Everyone is invited to attend.

Vicar Steve’s installation will be during worship at Washington and NELC on Sunday, April 6.

The Noisy offering from last Sunday which went to the Neighborhood Church in Fargo, ND was $235.00. Great Job!

Jess Gulseth, from Red Willow-Park River Bible Camps, will be here preaching and talking about bible camp on Sunday, March 23.

A portion of our offering that goes to the EaND Synod helps partnership with Luther Seminary. We support the work of Region 3 Archives, which cares for and holds our history and documents of closed ministries.

Noisy Offering for The Neighborhood Church
The Neighborhood Church was created in 2020 after Golden Ridge Lutheran in North Fargo closed in 2019. With their assets and building they opened the possibility for a new Mission Development ministry to replace what had once been. Pastor Jessica Olson-Miller began The Neighborhood Church primarily as a food bank and feeding ministry for the North Fargo area, and it has been going strong for 5 years. They host pop up food pantries in their parking lot every Wednesday which are a great opportunity for volunteers to serve and connect with the local community. Recently they have gained a stable congregation and have been able to offer worship experiences and youth programming. Today our noisy offering will go to support Pastor Jessica and her ongoing efforts. The Neighborhood Church is an example of our God that brings new life out of death, and the wonderful things that can happen when we listen to what The Holy Spirit Calls us to.

The youth will be attending the ELCA Grand Forks Conference Youth Night at Red River High School in Grand Forks Wednesday, February 19. We will meet at NELC at 4:45 pm to carpool. Chaperones needed.

There will be a Benefit Supper for Steve Gylten on Saturday, February 15 at 5:00 – 7:00 PM at the Hatton Community Center. Come out & help us support Steve in his fight with cancer. Free Will Donation / Silent Auction. Donations can also be made to the Goose River Bank, PO Box 280, Hatton ND 58240. Any and all Silent Auction items would be greatly appreciated.
