Northwood Evangelical Lutheran Church will be celebrating its 150th Anniversary on June 22-23. A special program entitled “Music and Memories” will be Saturday at 2:00 and include contributions by former pastors Luther Simmons, Jon Nelson, Julie Anderson and ordained former members Darrell Jodock, David Astrup, Elton Jorde and Vicki Saudi Worthington. The musical portion of the event will feature choral
numbers, vocal and organ pieces, Vicki Saudi Worthington, Mariann Astrup, and Janet Bilden, and some of the hymns we love to sing such as “Jeg Er Sa Glad”. Norwegian cookies and coffee will be served following the program, giving everyone a chance to visit and reminisce.
All are invited to join the choir for the day and rehearsal will be at 1:00 preceding the program. Former members, current members, and all those with a willing voice are encouraged to participate. Please come!
Sunday worship will be at 11:00 with Eastern North Dakota ELCA Synod Assistant to the Bishop, Rev. Brad Skogen preaching. Choir rehearsal for the service will be at 10:15 and again, all are welcome to join the choir for the day. Following the service, a catered noon meal will complete the festivities of the weekend.
