Washington Lutheran Church
“Family” better describes Washington than “congregation”.

We worship Sunday mornings at 9:00. Afterwards, we enjoy breakfast together downstairs. Sunday School meets at 10:00 am. Our doors are open to everyone! We practice hospitality, inclusivity, friendship and good humor.

For the past five years, the Eastern North Dakota Synod recognized us as one of the top 10 (out of 192) churches in the synod for our financial giving to World Hunger. All of our fundraising monies support local charities. We’re proud of our annual Rhubarb and Apple Pie Days; bakeless and bake sales; and craft show luncheons.

Monday mornings you’ll find our quilters-a-quilting. Weekly Bible Studies are held on Thursdays. Once-a-month, the women (WELCA) have their business meeting and Bible Study.

Memorial Day weekend is a proud one for us – a “homecoming” of sorts. For over 100 years, we’ve hosted a special service remembering family members who died throughout the last year and those in military service; afterwards, there’s a nice dinner. Former members come to visit.

We have a beautiful cemetery across the road.
