NELC’s Thanksgiving Dinner is today in the NELC dining hall, 12-2 pm, $10 per meal. The meal includes turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, stuffing, corn, bun, and dessert.

NELC will be decorating the church for the Christmas season following worship today. Everyone’s help is appreciated.

There’s a sign-up sheet in the NELC Bethany Room for volunteers to help with the “Kids’ Christmas Corner” on Saturday, December 6 at NELC.

NELC’s Kids’ Christmas Corner on Saturday, December 6 is in need of the following items: kid’s: toys, games, books, stuffed animals, etc. and men’s: tools, snacks/candy, games, hats, gloves, books, books, etc. Your donations may be brought to Deb’s office.

Noisy Offering on Sunday, December 7 will go the Northwood Food Pantry. If you missed giving to the Washington WELCA Thankoffering, you can still give a donation to treasurer, Diane Strom until Sunday, November 30. Write check to: WELCA.

NELC will be collecting items for the Northwood Food Pantry in November and December. Items needed: toilet paper, laundry detergent, dish soap, shampoo, body wash, toothbrushes, cleaning supplies, non-refrigerated milk, name brand peanut butter.

Washington Church receives gift tags for children in the Anne Carlson Early Intervention Center. Take a tag, a bag, a quilt, and have your gift bags back to Washington by December 11.

“Kids’ Christmas Corner” is from 9:30 am to 12 noon Saturday, December 6 at NELC. Children ages 4 years old thru 6th grade are invited to shop for Christmas presents for parents, grandparents, and special people at a price they can afford. All gifts are $1 or less. Parents are asked to send a list of people your child is shopping for along with their money. Children will be assigned a personal shopper. Parents are invited to have a cup of coffee and a treat in the kitchen while you wait. Sponsored by the NELC Women.

Washington WELCA bake sale is at the Old Fashion Christmas vendor show, Sunday, December 7 at the Northwood Community Center. We are asking each WELCA member to bring 5 plates of baking to sell.

NELC needs to fill 2 spots on their council. One position is to finish this year and the year 2026, the other is to finish this year and years 2026 & 2027. If you are interested in serving, please give Council President, Pete Antonson at call at 218-230-8471.

Amanda Ellison is performing at the Lakota Lutheran Church, Wednesday, December 3 at 7 pm. She’s an inspiring vocalist and recording artist from Minneapolis, MN She has sung across the upper Midwest for the past 8 years grabbing national attention with “the Preacher’s Daughters”.
