Northwood Church

Northwood Evangelical Lutheran Church (NELC) is a family friendly, inclusive congregation with a fun sense of humor! We’re a good mix of all age groups and have been fortunate to be growing.

We worship Sunday mornings at 11am; people come early (10:15-10:30) to visit and enjoy coffee and treats.
Sunday School is at 9:30am.
Adult Choir rehearsals are Sunday mornings at 10am.
Youth Choir rehearses Wednesday afternoons at 4pm.
Confirmation Classes (both churches):
- Grades 5-6: Wednesdays, 3:45-4:45 pm
- Grades 7-8: Wednesdays, 5-6 pm

Youth Group meets Sunday evenings, 6-8 pm, for dinner, games, etc.

Men’s Group meets the first Saturday of the month, Cool Stuff restaurant, 8 am. They serve an annual Meatball Dinner in October.

Quilters meet Monday mornings, September through March.

The women (WELCA) have their monthly Bible Studies; business meetings a few times a year; and plan fundraisers. They’re known for Lefse and “Syttende Mai” Celebration!

We’re strong believers mission work starts at home – which is why we’re active in the community and the surrounding area.
